Within the seven 1:Button Studios, faculty, staff and students will easily create professional-quality videos that support teaching and learning, research, public communication and patient care. The Studios will allow a user to walk in, enter their email address, plug in a laptop or other device and create a high-definition video (or audio-only recording) that supports the majority of user needs.
Once users create a video, they can easily edit it using professional software on the Library’s public computers. The Studios will also support video conferencing and presentation practice. Having multiple studios in one location will support simultaneous class or event video creation activities. Instructional designers will be able to book and use the Faculty Commons 1:Button Studio to experiment with more specialized recording methods such as green screens.
